There is a mandatory Recreational Coaches Meeting on Aug 12,2010 at the Senior Center on Canonicus Street in Tiverton. It will be held from 6-7 pm. If you have expressed interest in being a Coach for the Fall Recreation program please plan on attending. It is for Coaches ONLY. Players do not need to go. If you cannot make please send a designee. A lot has changed this year and we need to get that information out to you.
Tiverton Youth Soccer’s Fall Recreational Soccer Program will be holding a free referee clinic for anyone interested in refereeing Fall Recreational Soccer. The clinic will be held on Tuesday August 31st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Judson St Community Center. This is a free clinic and interested participants must be at least 10 years old. When a person registers as Head Coach, 30 days before his or her background check expires they will receive an email telling them they need to fill out a background check application. There is no charge to apply to TYS BUT there is a Background Check charge of $2. SRI has a voucher that will allow you to waive that fee.
THEY WILL ONLY NEED THE VOUCHER IF THEIR BACKGROUND CHECK IS EXPIRING AND
THEY NEED TO DO ANOTHER ONE !!! THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET AN EMAIL 30
DAYS BEFORE THEIR PREVIOUS YEARS BACKGROUND IS EXPIRING. Its all...transparent... It will happen automatically if you need one. It should ask for a voucher at the appropriate time in the application.

Tiverton Youth Soccer 2010 Fall Recreational Soccer Registration is now open!
All children between the ages of 4 (as of August 1, 2010) and 15
are eligible to play. Registration Fees are $65.00 for 1 child; $85.00 for 2 children and $100.00 for 3 or more children.
Registration will be closed as of July 21, 2010. After that date, players will be placed on a waiting list and a $10 late fee will
be assessed.

distributed in time for opening day!
Games are played on Saturdays and begin September 11, 2010.
There are usually 54 Teams that need coaches in the various age groups -Please Volunteer

Dylan Mello is a PHS graduate who suffered 3 sports related concussions in 2008. He has been active in awareness and testified at both the House and Senate hearings in favor of a bill that was signed into law on June 9,2010 by Governor Carcieri.

To comply with the law, RIIL has set aside Wed. Aug. 11th from 6-8 at Tollgate HS to educate (FREE) all interested and mandated parties involved. Parents, athletes, school nurses, coaches, ATC's, AD's, school personnel...are all welcome.

TYS Competitive is happy to be now offering a Competitive Soccer Camp conducted by Challenger Sports. It is a great way to prepare for the Fall Competitive Season and we would like to encourage as many competitive players to participate as possible. As you see below it will be very demanding so we are having it in the evening so it will be a bit cooler for the players.
Aug 23-27 at Town Farm 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm– includes FREE ball & t shirt “FREE online jersey offer deadline – July 10th”
